AUYC Nigeria Leadership Meets with Hon. Minister of Youth Development - Federal Republic of Nigeria

The leadership of the African Union Youth Council (AUYC) Nigeria Chapter yesterday paid a courtesy visit to the Honorable Minister of Youth Development, Federal Republic of Nigeria, at the Federal Ministry of Youth Development headquarters in Abuja.

The delegation was led by the Chairman; Board of Trustees of AUYC Nigeria Chapter - H.E. Amb. Prof. Tunji John Asaolu accompanied by the National President; Amb. Dr. MayorKings Louis Temisan, and the National Vice President, Amb. Amarachukwu Thecla Orakwe, alongside other executives of the Council.

During the meeting, discussions centered on nation building, youth empowerment, and the active involvement of Nigerian and African youth in shaping the continent’s future. The Minister commended the vision of the AUYC Nigeria Chapter and assured the leadership of the Ministry’s commitment to supporting youth-centered initiatives that align with the national development agenda.

Speaking after the meeting, the leadership of AUYC Nigeria Chapter emphasized the Council’s resolve to amplify the voices and aspirations of young people in Nigeria and across Africa, ensuring that their plight and potential are recognized not just within national boundaries but also on the continental and global stage.

This visit marks the first official outing of the AUYC Nigeria Chapter leadership, and it sets the tone for continued collaboration with relevant stakeholders in driving youth participation, empowerment, and sustainable development.
