AUYC Nigeria Chapter – Building Youth Power for Africa’s Future
The African Union Youth Club (AUYC) Nigeria Chapter is the Nigerian arm/branch of the African Union Youth Club initiative under the coordination of the African Union Southern Africa Regional Office (AU-SARO). Guided by the African Union Youth Charter (2006) and aligned with the African Union Agenda 2063, “The Africa We Want”, AUYC Nigeria seeks to galvanize Nigerian youths at home and in the diaspora toward becoming active drivers of Africa’s development agenda.
In Nigeria, where over 60% of the population is under 30, the AUYC Nigeria Chapter is strategically positioned to bridge the gap between continental aspirations and local realities. By mobilizing young people across schools, communities, and the diaspora, AUYC Nigeria seeks to transform youth potential into actionable development outcomes.
To build a united, empowered, and resourceful youth population that actively contributes to the realization of the AU Youth Charter and Agenda 2063 in Nigeria and beyond.
To educate, engage, and empower Nigerian youths through grassroots initiatives, advocacy, capacity building, and sustainable development programs that position them as agents of change in Africa’s transformation.
